Dr. Michael D. Fallon

Michael loves to discuss the challenges, pitfalls, and joys of life. One of the things he relishes the most - meeting students over a cup of coffee and listening to their stories.

A lover of learning, and the University, Michael believes that all of life is sacred and that the truths that arise out of the university have their origins in the person of Jesus Christ in whom all things cohere.

In addition to loving the Creator and His son, Michael is passionate about the creator’s beautiful but broken creation.  A mountaineer, ORCA Expedition Leader and Wilderness guide, Michael has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys introducing students to some of the beautiful places that he has discovered in his wanderings.

Michael is the Director of ‘All Things’ the CRC Ministry @ McMaster and the mentor to ‘Fully Alive’ a McMaster Men’s group.  Michael has a Ph. D from the University of Guelph and an M.A., from the University of Toronto.

Jocelyn De Vries

Hello! My name is Jocelyn De Vries, and I will be the All Things intern this year at McMaster University. I am super excited to see what this year brings as I enter my fourth year of nursing studies and continue to be a part of the All Things ministry. Throughout my time at McMaster, All Things has provided a sense of belonging and community through the many different activities and gatherings we hold. All Things provides an eye-opening experience to the diversity of living a life with Jesus. It also entails meeting new people, lots of good food (thanks to our wonderful chaplain), and fun and games (including ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, and card games). I would love the chance to meet you this fall and invite you to check out our ministry! For more details, please visit our website at https://allthingsmcmaster.ca/

Rachel Raakman

Hi! My name is Rachel Raakman. A former All Things Intern, I am now entering my final semester of sociology at McMaster.

As a way of introduction, some of my many interests include roller coasters, Harry Potter, iced coffee, my ever-growing hoodie collection, musical theatre, and camping at Killbear Provincial Park. In my first year I joined All Things with the intent to find a community amongst the crowded university campus.

Through all the dinners, games nights, retreats, and countless conversations in our All Things and Revive Again meetings, I was able to not only find a place where I felt I belonged, but where I could also explore and grow in my faith.

I invite you all to join our group in the fall (no matter your religious background) for a chance to meet some fellow students, hear from amazing guest speakers, and have fun!

If you are at all interested or have any questions, you can message me or check out our website http://allthingsmcmaster.ca/.
